The Miracles of Following the Music

Every time I choose to follow the music, I learn a little more about myself and the world around me. There’s something special about stepping into a space filled with people who share the same love for live music, connection, and community.

On April 20, 2026, I had the opportunity to see Dogs in a Pile perform the music of the Grateful Dead at a special Nugs exclusive event. Only 420 tickets were available at just $4.20 a piece, making it an intimate and unforgettable experience. I felt incredibly lucky to get one and even luckier to have an extra miracle ticket to pass along.

After driving across Pennsylvania, I arrived at my hotel, got ready, and headed to Ardmore Music Hall. This was my first true solo concert experience, and while that felt a little intimidating at first, I quickly realized I was exactly where I needed to be.

As soon as I got in line, I was welcomed by some of the kindest women. They introduced themselves and immediately made me feel like part of the family. That’s one of the things I love most about this community—complete strangers can become instant friends through a shared love of music.

My miracle ticket ended up going to one of the women in that knew that group, which made the experience feel even more meaningful. Once we got inside, the sense of connection only grew. Everyone around me felt like family. Dogs in a Pile truly have some of the best fans.

Experiences like this remind me how important it is to step outside of your comfort zone. You never know what friendships, opportunities, or memories are waiting for you on the other side.

That’s the beauty of following the music—it always seems to lead me exactly where I’m meant to be.
